New Romney

5.0 Miles

New Romney church, Cockreade lane, Hope all Saints ruin, Old Romney, back on the old road.

Ruckinge

5.4 miles

Military canal, Bilsington, The Priory, Saxon Shore Way, down through the woods back to Ruckinge

Rye

5.4 miles

Park in the market, cross the Rother and down towards Rye Harbour, Golf Club, into Guldeford Level, Wainway Wall, East Guldeford, and back to Rye.

Sellindge

5.6 Miles

Sellindge village hall car park, past HortonPriory, Horton Court, Hope farm and back to Sellindge.

Camber Castle

3.2 miles.

Park at Brede Sluice, track to the castle, the bird watchers hide and back.

Bonnington

5.7 miles

Down to St Rumwold's church, along the canal to Honeypot cottage, then follow the Saxon shore way back along the escarpment.

Bedgebury Forest

3.6 miles.

Park at Louisa Lodge, walk into the Pinetum to see some Hawfinches.

Bewl Water

12.5 Miles.

Full circuit, with a picnic lunch half way round.

Warehorn

Start at the World's Wonder pub.

Circular walk via. Hardres Court farm, Palmstead and back.

Circular walk, beautiful countryside. Park at the village hall.

Guestling Woods

Park in Guestling Woods. Up through the woods, Pickham Mill, Guestling Thorn, Snaylham Farm and onto the 1066 Countryside walk which is followed round to Three Oaks, lunch at the Three Oaks Pub. Continue along the 1066 walk into Guestling Woods and the car.

Park Rye Market. On the East side of the river, follow the dike down to the golf course. Then over to the club house, onto the marsh to the Wainway wall, to Moneypenny farm, East Guldeford, Salts farm and back to Rye.

Bodiam Castle to The Moor, Hawkhurst. Lunch at The Eight Bells Pub. Return to Bodiam by another route.

Rye to Winchelsea

Park Rye Market. Walk to Winchelsea via Camber Castle. Return via a different route.

Camber

3.1 Miles.

Early morning walk along the beach, up the river to harbourmsters office and back to Camber along the line of the Tramway. Breakfast at The Green Owl pub. Very good.

High Halden

Park at The Chequers pub.

Newenden to Bodiam to Northiam

9.8 Miles.

From Newenden to Bodiam, via the marsh quarter. Lunch at Bodiam, then to Northiam via Ewhurst Green.

Gate Court farm, Northiam

A short circular walk laid out by the farmer as a permissive route. Bluebell woods in spring.
