"Moondance of Rye" Moondance is a Falmouth working boat, she returned to Falmouth August 2001 from Lisbon. She has now been sold and Martin & Bela went back to Lisbon to continue their work on "Merlin" Go to the MERLIN page to continue their story.

Moondance Moondance is a Falmouth Working boat, designed by Percy Dalton as an ocean cruising gaff cutter 32 ft. stem to stern, 10 ft beam, 5ft6" draught, weight 10 tons. Lloyds certified professionally built Ferro-cement hull with lead ballast. Sleeps 4 (in a double and 2 singles.) Equipment comprises:- Lister SW2 Diesel, Baby Blake sea toilet, Taylor's paraffin cooker (2 burners and an oven) Solid fuel stove, Wind vane self steering gear. Voyage number 1 completed starting from Rye in East Sussex in the UK:- Jul 92 Rye to Bristol, Feb 93 Bristol to Conwy in north Wales, Aug 93 Visits to Oban, Belfast, Isle of Man, Oct 94 Conwy to Lisbon, via Falmouth, Camaret, La Coruna. Jun 95 Lisbon to Gibraltar, via Cadiz with visits to Palma de Majorca, Alicante. Dec 96 Gibraltar to Fort de France (Martinique) and St Lucia via Tenerife, Aug 96 Working in St Lucia, visits to Trinidad, Cumana (Venezuela) Apr 97 St Lucia to Bermuda via Antigua, Tortola in the Virgin Islands, Jul 97 Bermuda to Lisbon via the Azores, Summer 98 Lisbon to Marseille via Andratx in Majorca, Autumn 98 Marseille to Calais via rivers and canals Christmas 98 Return to Rye. Voyage number 2 started May 99, Rye to Lisbon in short stages
